Users play games, browse websites, or use mobile apps but that entirely depends on the nature of work or entertainment. Few issues that we come across while using the internet are low WiFi signals, frequent disconnection, or no bowsing at all.
Here we will discuss somehow these issues can be resolved without being getting stressed.
Low WiFi Signals
It is very important to understand the signal strength of your WiFi device such as a modem. In order to overcome this issue, all you have to do is to ensure below important things
- First of all, make sure that your modem is not faulty. The firmware upgrade is also a reason for abnormal wifi connectivity. It is always recommended to get this checked by a technician.
- Too many walls between your browsing device and modem would result in low signals. It is always recommended for longer distances such as in large homes. If you have rooms with less area then it might not affect but larger rooms and that too have many walls in between your modem and laptop or browsing device would definitely result in low signals.
- Get a WiFi extender to get better signals at a place where you experience the low signals issue. There are many companies that have made products for this purpose. All you have to is to synchronize your WiFi extender with your modem.
- The input cable to your modem is properly plugged in. Sometimes cable connectors are not properly made especially when they hand made.
- Troubleshoot your Wi-Fi adaptor. Try disabling and enabling again.
- If the above troubleshooting steps don't work then it could be a hardware issue and for that, you will have to take your laptop to a hardware specialist.
- Right-click on your Wi-Fi. Then click on Open Network & Internet settings as shown below
- Then click Change adapter options on the right side of your screen.
- A window opens which displays all of your connections. Look for a Wi-Fi connection.
- Right-click and go to properties
- Select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click properties. Make sure the shown options are selected.
